Elecciones 2022
Para todos los ciudadanos costarricenses con posibilidad de participar en las elecciones nacionales de febrero de 2022
La Embajada de Costa Rica en Kenia comunica que el 5 de octubre de 2021 es la fecha límite para realizar el empadronamiento electoral (procedimiento distinto al empadronamiento consular) y poder votar en el recinto electoral que se abrirá en Nairobi.
Como una consideración adicional, y para minimizar los trámites presenciales en el Consulado, el TSE informa que el cambio de domicilio electoral se puede realizar por medio de la página web del TSE a través del siguiente enlace:
https://www.tse.go.cr/servicios.htm
Al ingresar a la página, debe buscar la opción que dice “Traslado electoral para voto en el extranjero” y esto le permitirá ingresar al formulario. La persona deberá tener a mano la cédula de identidad vigente. Antes de llenar el formulario, la página le va a indicar unas imágenes que debe tener listas, es un proceso sencillo.

1. What does the Embassy do?
The Embassy of Costa Rica in Kenya is part of the foreign service of Costa Rica and is under the Foreign Service regime of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica. The Embassy coordinates and manages issues of politics, commerce, tourism, education, health and international relations between countries and concurrent embassies.

2. In which cases the Embassy cannot or is not authorized to act?
a. Charge for some service, except as established in the consular fees.

3. What does the Consulate do?
The consulate processes applications for authentication, visas, passports, residence permits, birth records and assists Costa Rican citizens residing in Kenya.
